I made these with some popular rubber stamps. They are flat, smooth images and some of them can make pretty buttons.<\/p>\n<p>1. Choose a rubber stamp, a PPP plate or another texture that has a very deep relief. You can use it as is, or make a mold from it and use the mold instead.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  small aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-819\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-012.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Step 1\" width=\"128\" height=\"94\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-819\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. Roll a very thick layer (2 craft sticks or 16 cards) of bronze clay and press it into the mold, or into a part of the mold.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  small alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-820\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-022.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Step 2\" width=\"126\" height=\"96\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-820\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  small aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-821\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-031.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Step 2\" width=\"63\" height=\"95\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-821\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. Cut off the excess from the layer and dry on a warming plate at 200\u00b0F &#8211; 250\u00b0F. Keep an eye on the piece as it dries. It will soon start to warm. Turn it over. When it starts warping again, flip it back over. Continue this until the piece stops warping. Alternatively, after the first two times, tape it down or lay a Corian block on it (see photos on the very bottom of this page: <a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/page\/2\/\">http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/page\/2\/<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>4. Press copper clay into the indentations of the pattern. (It doesn\u2019t matter if some of the pattern disappears.)<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  small aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-823\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-041.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/t-041.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Step 4\" width=\"56\" height=\"95\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-823\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>5. Dry again, as in step 3. It will not warp this time.<br \/>\n6.
