One-fire Flex White Satin Clay is now available on my <a href=\"http:\/\/store.artinsilver.com\/haclonflwhsa.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online store<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, White Satin is silver-color, high-fire clay, and fires in one phase only. It is strong, malleable, and does not contain any allergenic ingredients. It can be fired on its own and in combination with One-fire Copper, Dark Champagne Bronze, Low-shrinkage Steel <em>XT<\/em> and Pearl Grey Steel.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some things I&#8217;ve done so far with One-fire White Satin Flex.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  aligncenter size-full wp-image-8532\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-earrings-11.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-earrings-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"240\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8532\" srcset=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-earrings-11.jpg 648w, http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-earrings-11-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>These earrings were made with an embossing folder. They are only 2 cards thick and survived aggressive hammering. This was made with an embossing folder as well. The backing layer was blackened with gun patina. The piece was fired at 1680\u00b0F (brick) \/ 1730\u00b0F (muffle). The first is just a funny shape, textured White Satin Flex, made with the experimental technique I mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  aligncenter size-full wp-image-8550\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-textured-sandollar2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-textured-sandollar2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"386\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8550\" srcset=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-textured-sandollar2.jpg 648w, http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-textured-sandollar2-300x279.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The second is a married metal piece, White Satin Flex and Copper Flex.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  aligncenter size-full wp-image-8553\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-and-copper-sandollar1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-and-copper-sandollar1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"420\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8553\" srcset=\"http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-and-copper-sandollar1.jpg 640w, http:\/\/artinsilver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/t-White-Satin-and-copper-sandollar1-296x300.jpg 296w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Because of the different shrinkage rates of White Satin and copper, some distortion occurred, but I was able to fix it with just a hammer. However, repair was easy.
