Who is the Mystery Guest?
The following questions have been presented to people at my studio live, not in the form of photos. These are unedited photos of some pieces, taken on a photographic gray card, under the same lighting conditions. Some of the pieces are silver and some are not. For each group of pieces several photos were taken. In each photo the pieces are arranged differently, to rule out the lighting factor. I hope you play along. Those of you who already know the answer, please don’t give it away.
1. One piece in each of these photos is not silver or White Bronze. Which one is it?
2. In this group, two hollow forms are made of silver and two are neither silver nor White Bronze. Which ones are silver and which are not?
3. In this group of hollow forms, two pieces are made with silver, one is made of White Bronze, and one is neither silver nor White Bronze. Which ones are silver, which one is White Bronze, and which one is not?
4. In this group, one of the pieces is silver, one is White Bronze, and one is neither. Which one is which?

My guess is…1. The Necklace is not silver or white bronze 2. The round beads are silver, The triangular beads are not silver 3. The rock shaped bead is white bronze, the triangle shaped bead is neither white bronze or silver and the other two are silver 4. The triangle shaped bead is neither bronze or silver, the square one is white bronze and the other large one with the plus sign over it is silver.

I cannot tell which is which. I CAN tell that a great deal of work and care went into each piece. They are all beautiful. Thank you Hadar.

This is difficult – and exciting because I am really interested in learning what “not silver or white bronze” is. Guesses – 1. earring 2.triangle with stone and 2 bands 3. twisted hollow form 4. triangle wit inlay. Now – just how wrong am I?

Mike, No, steel clay is darker.

Julie, the necklace is silver. The round beads (lentils) are silver, the triangular (trillion shape) are not. You are right about 3. 4. The square is silver, the rectangular is White Bronze, the third is neither. Good job!

Barbara, right about 1. Twisted bead is silver. Right about 4.

You proved your point. It is virtually impossible to tell the 3 metals apart. Like Mike, I assumed the mystery metal was a steel. So, what is it?

Julie is a brave soul. As for the rest of us; our site if failing or they are too close to tell. I think it’s the latter. The pieces are great. When will the truth be known?

Even after seeing some responses from both “guessers” and Hadar, I can’t tell. I’ve studied the photos, and when I think I have. Valid guess, I change my mind! Amazing work, Hadar…when will any of my pieces look remotely like these (sigh) without hours and hours of work on each piece?

The mystery guest must be a new metal clay you are about to announce.
